VAST Challenge 2012 Submission

Together with three colleagues I have participated in the VAST Challenge 2012 for Big Data visualization.

Our visualization uses the JavaScript library D3.js and the Google Maps API to visualize the health stati, numbers of connections and alike for a whopping number of data logs from computational machines of the (fictitious) Bank of Money to find out what has gone wrong in their network.

The project strictly followed a "form follows function" principle and was a tool for ourselves to gather insight into the data and present evidence. Therefore, it is not an intuitive tool to use for users not involved in the development, although optimizing it this way would be a very interesting task.
